1 · Who we are
Polifigeur is a private styling practice operated by Polifigeur LLC, a California limited liability company. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
The short version: we collect what the work requires and nothing more. We do not sell your information, and we never will.
2 · What we collect
The Polifigeur archetype quiz is free and requires no purchase. Taking it gives us your answers and your email address; it does not obligate you to buy anything, and we do not ask for payment details at any point in the quiz.
Quiz responses. Your answers to the Polifigeur archetype quiz and the archetype result they produce.
Contact details. Your name and email address, provided when you complete the quiz or purchase a service.
Booking information. The occasions, rooms, travel patterns, budget, and fit or personal considerations you share on the booking form or in consultation.
Purchase records. What you bought, when, and the amount — held by our payment processor and reflected in our records.
Correspondence. Emails and messages you send us.
Site data. Standard analytics collected by our website host, including pages visited and general location, in aggregate.
3 · How we use it
To determine your archetype and deliver your result.
To send the email sequence associated with your archetype, and occasional updates about the practice.
To deliver the service you purchased, including your Report, your outfit builds, and your consultation.
To process payment and maintain business records as required by law.
To respond to your enquiries.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making, profiling for advertising, or any purpose you would not reasonably expect from the description above.
4 · Payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe. Polifigeur never receives, sees, or stores your full card number, expiry date, or security code. We receive only a record of the transaction — the amount, the date, and the last four digits of the card. Stripe’s own privacy policy governs its handling of your payment details.
5 · Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers required to run the practice, and only to the extent each one needs to do its job:
Interact — hosts the archetype quiz and records responses.
Flodesk — delivers email.
Stripe — processes payments.
Calendly — manages consultation booking.
Squarespace — hosts the website.
Google — file storage and email correspondence.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information for anyone else’s marketing. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect the legal rights of the practice.
6 · Client confidentiality
Beyond this policy, clients receive a further protection. Everything you share in an engagement — your employer, the rooms you are walking into, your measurements, your budget, the reasons behind any of it — is held in strict confidence and is never used in marketing, published, or shared with anyone. We will not name you as a client without your written consent. This obligation continues after your engagement ends.
7 · How long we keep it
Quiz responses and email contact details are retained while you remain subscribed, and are deleted on request or after three years of no engagement, whichever comes first.
Client records and correspondence are retained for four years after the engagement ends, so that the work remains available to you and so we can meet tax and accounting obligations. Financial records are retained for the period California law requires.
8 · Your choices about your information
Polifigeur is a small practice and is not currently subject to the California Consumer Privacy Act, which applies to businesses above certain revenue and data-volume thresholds. We extend the following to you regardless, as a matter of how this practice operates:
Ask what personal information we hold about you and how we use it.
Request a copy of that information.
Request correction of anything inaccurate.
Request deletion of your information, subject to the records we are required to keep for tax and accounting purposes.
Withdraw from our email list at any time.
Polifigeur does not sell or share your personal information for anyone else’s marketing, and does not intend to. There is accordingly nothing for you to opt out of.
You will never be treated differently for making any of these requests. Email the address at the bottom of this page and we will respond within forty-five days. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request about a specific record.
If the practice grows into the scope of the California Consumer Privacy Act, or any other privacy law, this policy will be updated and subscribers will be told.
9 · Email preferences
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops all marketing email immediately. If you are an active client, we will still send the email required to deliver your engagement — your Report, your builds, your booking confirmations.
10 · Cookies, analytics and Do Not Track
Our website and quiz use cookies to keep the site working, remember your progress, and record aggregate visit statistics. You can disable cookies in your browser, though parts of the site may not function correctly if you do.
Some browsers send a Do Not Track signal. There is no common industry standard for how to respond to one, and Polifigeur does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals. We do not track you across other companies’ websites for advertising purposes, and we do not allow third parties to do so through our site.
11 · Children
This site and these services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under eighteen. If you believe a minor has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.
12 · Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated by email to subscribers.
